Running around school yesterday trying to sort out things for my many activities, a teacher stopped me to comment on my mint blouse. She asked me if I had known that mint is a huge spring color, and then shrugged and said, "Who am I kidding? Of course you knew that." After a quick conversation about spring's most prominent hue, I started to think about how I want to stock up on more mint pieces for spring. Popular items in this color include blouses, button-ups, pants, shoes and even statement accessories like necklaces, earrings, and bracelets. I'm sure there's so much more, but these are just basics that I'm thinking of investing in. Do you love mint? If so, I have some great tips on how to rock it to its full potential.
To become the queen of mint just in time for spring, there are three rules that you must follow. When wearing mint, match it up with other pastels. This will give you a fresh spring look that darker colors wouldn't provide. It will make you look light and fluffy, like a springtime dream. Next, since mint is a huge trend and so is statement jewelry, incorporate colorful baubles with your mint outfit. Pack on the necklaces if you're wearing a mint top and crop your sleeves to make room for bracelets upon bracelets. You'll look like you've just stepped out of the glossy pages of Vogue if you can combine all of these trends into a single look. Lastly, smile. Yes, simply smile and your outfit will be instantly enhanced. Like I said, mint is a happy color, so match that and be bubbly. Plus, a pearly white smile goes with everything, especially polished pastels. Wear mint happily and match it with similar colors. Start to plan your spring wardrobe now so you can be ahead of the game!
Mint is merry, so be merry.

I love mint and have some beautiful Spring pieces I am DYING to wear! A fourth tip would definitely be to go monochromatic (I do a darker green cigarette pant with a mint blouse sometimes!)
ReplyDeletehaha thats so cute! I tried to be as invisible as possible in HS so I doubt any of my teachers (or friends) had a clue that I loved fashion!
