As we welcome spring along, we must adjust our wardrobes to match the change of weather. One of the first things I'll be on a hunt for this spring is printed pants. I've seen them in the windows of J.Crew, Gap, Banana Republic and on various blogs, and it's a trend I'm ready to pursue. When I say print, I don't mean the boldest of the bold, but a little design to take your outfit to the next level of chic. It's accessible, it's easy and it can be done subtly. So, why not?

Pink, blue, tangerine - whichever color you may prefer, I can guarantee you that you'll find a pair of printed pants this spring that are just your fancy. It was big on the spring runways, and now it's making its way into the closets of many women worldwide. This is one statistic you want to be a part of! But first, it's important to learn how to wear them. Normally they're cropped, so I'd suggest wear a plain pair of flats or heels to go with them. This will leave most of the attention on the pants, and by wearing heels, you're really putting focus on the crop factor, which is a good thing. But in flats, the crop is there as well, and you'll probably be more comfortable. Next, since the pants will be printed, try to be as plain as possible on top. Solid colors are best for shirts worn with this trend so once again, the focus can be on the pants. Next, since you'll be going with not the most exciting top, accessorize! Bold necklaces are in (as I've said many times before) so match it up with that. Try and keep the same color scheme as your pants so your outfit falls together nicely. The key to this trend is to wear it with style and grace. If you follow these tips, I know that you'll be doing the look justice and wearing it well. Take on spring with a skip in your step, and make your pants more exciting!
Are you up for the challenge?

I have a pair of printed jeans from Paige. I wore them a couple of months ago while I was walking through the common and some guy yelled out, "HEY! YOU'RE NOT IN NEW YORK HONEY" at me. It was kind of a confidence killer. But I wore them the other day and realized that I don't like where they hit me on my hips anyway. So I guess it all worked out!

I will most definitely be partaking in the trend. I'm kind of with Kara in the comment above but I don't CARE - Boston can be a fashionable city and if I'm in the mood to wear it, I will with my head held high! xo
