Currently Swooning Over..

Never hearing much of Rachel Roy before today, this collection took me by surprise! There isn't much resort wear much more "succinct" than this to quote THE LOVE LIST blog. Mixing prints and colors has never looked so fabulous! It's a combination of color blocking, masculine feminine mixed look and resort styles. It looks like a modern twist on retro fashion which makes it distinct from other resort collections. I'm obsessing!
Absolutely in awe!

A [little taste of] Inspiration

Searching for the small piece of inspiration to get you through one more day this week? Well you're in luck! I've lined up some fabulous images and some [wise words] that make for a tasteful Thursday evening. But from me, believe in yourself and never doubt your dreams! You never know what lies before you, so always reach for the stars. If you stop reaching, you won't get results. Choose a path to your goals and follow it!
Prepare yourself for success! Pack your bags with what you need to achieve your goals, and leave the rest behind. Your essentials are all you need during the journey to your dreams. The rest will fall into place itself!
A fabulous dress will always make you happy! Be inspired by color, texture and emotion.
Allow yourself to be [inspired] by the style surrounding you. Create your own style, be yourself and don't lose your way! Dress up in your favorite outfit even if you're staying home. Don't be afraid to wear your best jewelry around the house, as Mal & Criss would say. Flatter yourself! As Kate Spade intelligently said, "I think that playing dress-up begins at age five and never truly ends." And I couldn't agree more. Be happy, be yourself and be inspired.
Goodnight lovelies!

Guest Post: As Told By Casie Mace of

Heels and shorts became a very popular trend several seasons ago and I must say it remains one of my favorite looks. What's better than having the glam of a Saturday night ensemble with the comfort of Sunday brunch high-waisted shorts. Nothing, as far as Im concerned. Here's a few of my favorite looks and some inspirations so you can get the look-
Thank you so much to Casie Mace of whippedSTYLE for sharing one of this season's most wearable trends! Take her words [and pictures] of advice and put them to use in your daily style! [She] Male

Loving the masculine inspired look? You're not the only one! In the fashion world, the look is blossoming into a popular trend. Stars like Janelle Monae has exemplified male-inspired trends for months upon months but the look is just starting to come alive. When iconic figures like Olivia Palermo and Chloe Sevigny start wearing ties and blazers, you know it's stylish!

Shopping for this look? Step into an H&M or Zara and it'll be staring you right in the face. This style is everywhere and you can even mix and match the colors. Put your prior fashion knowledge to use and don't be afraid to color block, add heels or add accessories. It's all about the total look, so go all out and be fabulous!

Not comfortable for this look? Narrow it down to one piece if you don't want to do the total look. Take the blazer or the dress pants and add something simpler. Pair the outfit with flats if you're looking to be conservative, or heels if you're on a night out. Whatever look you want to emulate, do it with class! Stay stylish and good luck!

Stella McCartney Resort 2012 Collection

Needless to say, much like Chloe's Resort 2012 collection, Stella McCartney's collection has left me swooning. As an inspiring garden party-esque photo shoot, the vibrant stripes, and the Hawaiian patterns have me scouring my closet for Stella lookalikes. As a great resort collection, it's no wonder Stella McCartney is world renowned. Take a look through the photos below so generously shared by the Glitter Guide! Be inspired, have fun with your style and make it your own!

Stay stylish and love yourself!

Chloe Resort 2012 Collection

It may seem a little soon, but resort 2012 collections are being revealed! And among my list of favorites is Chloe's Resort 2012 collection. The looks are basic with a stylish twist and include a lot of wide legged pants, tops, airy dresses, shimmery sequins and chic suits. According to sterlingstyle, "Chloe has the ability to mix feminine and masculine with ease." Glance through the photos below to see Chloe's beautiful parisian flair.

As one of my favorite fashion houses, Chloe has once again managed to captivate my attention and simply amaze me. The looks, the colors, the photos, the models- it's all been done right. The masculine inspiration for the clothing is subtle, but gives them a certain simplicity that other collections don't incorporate into their designs.

To see more, click Chloe Resort 2012 and let the wonders
of Vogue swoon you!

Cheers To The Weekend

Finals week is over and done with and I survived! I've never looked forward to the weekend so much and it's finally here. The birds are chirping, the sun's out and there's nowhere I'd rather be than by the pool [where I'll be tomorrow]. Not to mention it's Father's Day Sunday so if you haven't gotten your dad a gift, you should probably get to that! I know I finished the week hard, so I hope everyone else is worthy of a little break too.
Although the photo speaks for itself, TGIF! Cheers to the weekend, having fun and making plans. It's always good to have a break from the work week, so make this weekend a memorable one. Take a day trip, go shopping, clean out your closet, sort your shoes, reorganize your home- however you may want to spend it, go for it! It's my last weekend of my sophomore year of high school and I have only one more school day after this weekend until [summer], wow! Time really does fly right by. That's another thing- keep a journal to remember [the little things]- snacks you love, outfits you saw, something you may've worn, a conversation you had- it's good to look back on [the little things] and remember small details! So occupy yourself this weekend, there are a million things you could do!

Cheers to the weekend!

MO&Co. [momentum]

As told by Johnny Misheff-
Have you heard? Mo&Co, one of China's most celebrated clothing brands is heading our way, enlisting the help of renown videographer Barnaby Roper with one of the chicest videos we've seen in recent memory.  The video, clocking in at 11m 44s, features an inspired performance by world renown Chinese supermodels Shu Pei and Liu Wen and has been made in two versions: 2D and 3D.  The video premiered last night in 3D in Shanghai to a decidedly wowed crowd, with a range of distinguished guests attending, including Roper, Pei and Wen. This occasion and subsequent exclusive full length premiere on W Magazine's website marks MO&Co.'s first big splash in the Western world.

Thusly, MO&Co. is a profound sleeping giant.  They are China's premier fashion brand with hundreds of shops already open and more opening monthly with a widely successful and securely positioned E-Commerce element.  They are perfectly poised for an impactful and enduring presence here.

The full length is running exclusively on W's site until next week.  The video can be viewed in it's entirety here

The sharp stillness of the models, the beauty of nature and the underlying theme of edginess swept me [and anyone else who's seen these pictures] off my feet. Just recently celebrating their birthday last friday, Vogue India has had much success and will continue to "wow" readers for years to come. Color Crush: Nautical Navy

Okay, so I think black is a bit overdone. Fall, winter, spring and summer? Doesn't black get tired of always being worn? That's why I'm letting navy step in and replace black in a few outfits for the summer. A close relative to the classic color, it's affects are the same but a little lighter on the skin. With a deep summer glow, navy may even compliment your skin better. So give your lbd a rest [yes I'm being serious] and round up all of your navy clothing. Navy is a first class ticket to nautical style!

Go Shopping: 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7
Pair navy with whites, grays and even bright colors! Don't be afraid to take [color] risks with navy because it's dark and matches almost anything. Pair it with green or magenta for a bold, but trendy look.

What do you like to pair navy with?
Will you prefer navy over black this season?
Brights or white: which looks better [with navy]?

Enjoy your vacation from black!

[l b t] little bright treasures

As summer knocks on the door, we have to make sure we're fully prepared before we hop into a whole new season. Going into summer without the right essentials is like going on vacation without a suitcase, a big "no no". To avoid any fashion dilemmas, I've decided to give you all that's essential when it comes to little bright treasures. Why treasures, you may ask? They're treasures because in life, without hitting the gold mine and finding your treasure, you won't live life to the fullest.  But this summer, you want to live not only your life to the fullest, but also your fashion life. Even though the "treasure" may not be vital to your style, I'm going to guide you to your treasure that you need to make it fabulously through the summer looking dazzling every day!

1.) Bright, bold jewelry- Why in the world do you need to own a necklace with 15 chains and every color? How about asking yourself this: Why not? Not only is this necklace fabulous, but it's so un-typical. You don't walk down the street and see a necklace like this very commonly. It's stylish, it's rare and it's a great piece to add to your jewelry box. Not only is it summery, but if you're wearing any solid color, it will match!

2.) Bright nails- This is a fabulous look and more widespread. Although common among teen girls and stylistas, it's a great look when the rest of your outfit is bold and bright. Be fashionable from the tip of your finger to the tips of your toes with this trend!

3.) Handbag, handbag, handbag- What completes an outfit like a good, old fashioned clutch? Nothing that is! Keep your essentials close to you inside a stylish little clutch. Match the color to your outfit, or even color block with a totally different color. They're very versatile and very stylish.

4.) Flats- Metallic with bright? You might think it's too much, but it's just enough. When worn with the right jeans, or shorts, and a plain or patterned shirt, these flats will rock your world. You'll have fancy twinkletoes with the bright yellow tips, who doesn't want that?! Not only are they trendy, but they're cute and bubbly. They say a lot. The yellow is a confidence booster!

5.) Back to the nail polish trend, see tip #2. [but this is the color to aim for if you're thinking orange]

6.) Last but not least, make-up bag- Stay organized with this hard-to-miss make-up bag from kate spade. For summertime, bring it to the beach and pack it with sun block, moisturizer and chap stick. For a night out, stick it in your handbag [certainly not in a clutch.. it wouldn't fit] with your emergency make-up inside!

I hope this bright little pointers help set you in the right direction for summer essentials. For more summer fashion tips, stay up to date with Fashion is Freedom! Enjoy the warm weather and don't forget to protect your skin from UV rays.
Be bright, bold and beautiful.
